(27) Words of encouragement to students
Miyazaki July 4, 1926
To Seminary Student Grigoletto GiuseppeMy good Grigoletto
I cannot express in words how much comfort I received from your letter.
I just returned from the church. Today is the feast day of St. Peter in Japan, so I read a sermon about St. Peter, like a great person would. I wonder if the believers understood it? I hope so. But rather than reading it out loud, I would like them to pray that I can memorize it quickly. If that happens, it will be proof that I have begun to master these difficult words.
You say you don't want to burden me with writing. Why? Don't you know that for those who have left their country, the greatest comfort is first of all to God, then to friends, yes, to brothers?
My recommendation to you is this.
@@With faith, place yourself in the hands of God and the Virgin Mary.
A@Whether it's studying or anything else, do exactly as you're told.
B@Try to work calmly.Don't think that you are special, like the rare specimens of plants and animals that I search for in Japan. No, you are just a small Salesian who loves Don Bosco. You are simply doing what you know and what you can do in the place that has been entrusted to you. We all have our own graces that God has given us, some of us have this, some of us have that. Do you understand? (Omitted)
Please send my best regards to everyone, everyone, everyone. I congratulate you and hug you wholeheartedly.
Always your brother, Father V. Cimatti
