i38jLove to God and a Message to Mary
Miyazaki, November 7, 1926
To Valentini Eugenio seminariansMy dear Eugenio
Just as I was about to write this letter, your letter arrived. (...)
Your new assignment is good. Mary herself wanted you to be sent to the Oratory of Turin, the birthplace of the Salesian Order, so that you could complete your formation, just as you wished. As always, to be a good Salesian, stay on the right path and read as many of Don Bosco's works as you can, as there is a wealth of them there.
You say, "When will my heart stop resisting the love of Jesus?"
It's definitely time for you to decide. Be generous, and when Jesus asks for something, say, "Yes, please!" And be careful not to let your heart become attached to the things of this world. (...)
For the rest, take heart. Happy New Year, Happy Christmas, and Happy Feast of the Immaculate Conception. When this letter arrives, make time to go immediately to the Basilica of Our Lady Help of Christians and recite this prayer before Her: "Mary, Father Cimatti wanted me to come and say to you: Mary, we love you. Tell Jesus: We want to be yours in body and soul, now and forever."
I embrace you with all my heart and bless you. Be cheerful, good, hardworking and selfless.
Your Father V. Cimatti
